OK since Steve brought it up, how easy/hard is it to use Triples and VR if you want to switch back and forth? Lets say I want to run my GTE series with VR but I want to run Cup using triples. And based on the issues Steve is having it sounds like iRacing is already setup to be compatible with Oculus.

On the Oculus Rift S, when the sim is loading a box comes up and asks you if you want to use VR or Monitors. Click on the one you want to use. The VR setup and Monitor Setup are separate in the Sim so no adjustments are needed. I only use the monitor when I'm not racing so I have changed the ini files so it always starts up the VR in iRacing.
Believe me, once you use VR you will not race using monitors. VR veiw VS a monitors fierld of veiw can't be compared.

not sure how others go back and forth but before I started to setup the VR headset i copied my app.ini and dxrender.ini files with .triple extensions. i then setup my VR headset which changed both files, then once out of iracing I copied the same files with a .vr extension. Now i just make sure I have the correct set of files in place before i start iracing. I'm not prompted to use VR or triples so that must be a Oculus thing. My prompt says do you want to use VR in full screen and I say no for triples and yes for VR.
Bill is right VR is so nice it is hard to imagine using triples again, but I still prefer triples for oval races and long road sessions. I may not have my VR legs yet though as my eyes start to feel tired after 30 minutes of VR. Oh and my glasses work great in the headsets just like Bill said they would!
Bill, does the Oculus require SteamVR to be running?

@Steve: Oculus launches it own software when the sim starts. I'm not sure about how it interfaces with Steam.
