A very special Thank You to everyone who made our season 2 successful. Our drivers continue to gel and get used to racing each other with respect. Our slower drivers are improving and racing each other more. We've added a few more members at the top skill level. And we've recently added a few new driver to the series as well as to RFJ! Thank you for supporting this series.
Season 3 will see some changes. Tracks removed are Mid-Ohio, C.O.T.A., Daytona RC and one race from Road Atlanta. A new purchase this season will be Red Bull Ring (run twice), Weather Tech Laguna Seca, Indianapolis R.C., and a second date was added for Watkins Glen Boot. I appreciate all the input that was shared and other tracks will be considered for another season. Keeping with our mindset of trying to keep costs low for participation, we've only added 1 track to purchase that we have never used before and it will be used twice this season.
This season will be a 12-week schedule and we will allow for 2 drop weeks for those who might be missing some content. How does that work? Once you have run 10 races, it will take your next race into consideration and drop the lowest points race of the 11 (for 10 total points races). And same again if you run a 12th race it will drop another lowest points race. So the season final standings are based on your 10 highest points finishes.
This will NOT be a multi-class series, we are focusing on ONE class of cars GTE. Many of the tracks on this schedule are part of the official iRacing series such as GT Endurance Series and IMSA Hagerty iRacing Series. So you can get some online practice with A.I., or other drivers in live practices/races, as well as have the opportunity to work on your official license.
45 minute race, 10 min single car qualifying, open setups, 15 I.P. penalty then 10x after (5 bonus points given for finishing race with 0 incidents), 1 Fast Repair
Generated Weather, Dynamic Sky, Time of Day 7:30am, Sim Date (same as actual day of race session), Starting Track State 40% usage, carried over through qualifying and into race
Cars: Porsche 911 RSR, Chevrolet Corvette C8.R GTE, Ferrari 488 GTE and BMW M8 GTE, Ford GTE
Sunday Nights (*EST)
Practice 7pm
Drivers Meeting 7:50pm
Qualify 8pm
Race 8:10pm
