I am looking to field one or more RFJ entries into the Daytona 24 at the end of January.
If you are interested in being part of the driver lineup let me know here.

I will host a practice on Friday and Saturday nights 6pm-11pm with the password being DaytonaRFJ.
It will be with the Mercedes AMG GT3 and in the late afternoon so the track will transition from day to night.

In order to make sure we balance the team(s) we need a way to "qualify" drivers.
To do this the hosted practice sessions will have required tasks to complete.

If you are interested in being part of one of the teams please come and complete at least 20 laps.
These laps don't need to be consecutive but we will be tracking incident counts as in the race incident counts will have a limit.

The next practice will be in a few weeks and require a full fuel run so everyone gets the feel for the change the car goes through. The second practice will also include a few faster classes mixed in to give experience around that faster traffic.

I am pushing this back to 6-11pm EST Friday and Saturday night.
Again this first practice will be for you to do 20 laps and keep track of incidents.

The purpose of the practices is to "license" each driver and balance the team(s) with Pro and Am drivers.
These practices will allow us to see who is Pro and who is Am as we schedule driver times over the 24 hours.

Right now this is the practice license schedule.
Upon completion drivers will have completed over 100 laps and be familiar with the track.
Practices 2-4 will have faster classes on track to give everyone experience with being passed.

  • Practice 1: Complete 20 Laps and track incidents 11/20 & 11/21
  • Practice 2: Complete a full fuel run in consecutive laps tracking incidents
  • Practice 3: Complete 30 laps and hand the car over to another driver
  • Practice 4: Complete a full fuel run in consecutive laps tracking incidents
  • Practice 5: Mix of Pro and Am create setup

11/20 UPDATE: We had a great practice tonight with everyone making progress on their times and learning the track. Going forward I will add all cars that are eligible to run the race so if you are not racing with us but want practice you can join us.

Next Practice will be Saturday 6-11PM.

Let me know if you have any questions
Chris
